Beebe School District is happy to announce that our new safety concern reporting and emergency management system, Catapult EMS, is up and running. What does this mean for our stakeholders?
\r\n1. Safety Concern Reporting - Through Catapult EMS and its reporting system called "WeTip," ANYONE can anonymously report a safety concern. This includes school staff, students, parents, and community members. Access to the reporting form can be found on the front page of our website, in the menu on the top right of the page as well as at the bottom of the page below our contact information. The button is called "See|Say" because we want to encourage our patrons to adopt the mindset of "If You See Something, Say Something." Types of concerns that can be reported include but are not limited to bullying, concern for self or others, threat to school or students, and vandalism. By providing this avenue for anonymous reporting, our goal is to stop the action before it escalates and increase the overall safety of our school campuses.
*Please help us by communicating with your students about the seriousness of these reports. Anyone who submits a false report will face school disciplinary and legal consequences. It is against the law to submit a false report, and only real and true safety threats should be reported. Also, when a report is submitted, the reporter should provide as much detail as possible to aid school personnel in investigating the situation. 2. Emergency Management - The other side of Catapult EMS is that school staff now have a system through which to communicate during an emergency. When an event occurs, school staff will be immediately notified and given instruction on what action to take. They will then use Catapult EMS to account for themselves and students in their care. Emergency personnel can quickly determine who is safe and who needs help, and parents can rest assured knowing that their children have been accounted for in the event of an emergency.
